Whether it’s one of the large midwest landscape for which he is known, or one of the abstracts he has been creatively exploring recently, Roger Harvey’s current work examines a more abstract and spontaneous direction where the emphasis is on texture as well as composition and color relationships. Working primarily in mixed media acrylics on canvas, the process incorporates layering of colors, mediums and textures aiming to create a dialog between painter and viewer.
